History
The Rider Broncs Men's Basketball team have made four tournament appearance all-time. The last two came in 1993 and 1994 under head coach Kevin Bannon. The other two previous tournament appearances came in 1957 and 1984. The program was founded by one of the legendary innovators and contributors to the game, Clair Bee. Among the great players in their past include Darrick Suber, long time NBA referee Jack Madden, Greg Burston, and Deon Hames. Perhaps the most revered alumnus of the basketball program is Digger Phelps, the former coach at Notre Dame and current ESPN analyst.-
