  • Professional Career

    Following school, Williams was selected fifth overall in the 1999 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. He joined the team for his professional debut that year and played three seasons with the Saints. In 2002, Williams was traded to the Miami Dolphins and was selected to play in the Pro Bowl that year.     In 2005, Williams returned to the league and served a four-game suspension stemming from the substance policy violation. He later failed another drug test, reportedly testing positive for marijuana and was suspended for the entire 2006 season.
