Early Life
Rickie Weeks was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, on September 13, 1982. He attended college at Southern University. He had a standout collegiate career, winning the Baseball America College Player of the Year, Southwestern Athletic Conference's Most Outstanding Hitter and Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year awards as well as the Dick Howser Trophy, as the college player of the year, the Golden Spikes Award, for athletic ability and sportsmanship, and the Rotary Smith Award, also for the top college baseball player.
Pro Career
