CNN anchor Rick Sanchez received a DUI in December of 1990 while working as a television anchor for Miami's WSVN-Channel 7. According to news archives, Sanchez struck and critically injured a pedestrian, Jeffrey Smuzinick, as he was leaving Joe Robbie Stadium following a Miami Dolphins game. Smuzinick survived and underwent years of rehabilitation. He died in 1995.
