Rick Ross

Ross and 50 Cent became enmeshed in a feud after Ross' "Mafia Music" appeared on the internet and contained comments about 50 Cent, which angered him. 50 Cent retaliated with the release of "Officer Ricky" and on March 12, 2009, he allegedly threatened to release a porn video featuring an unnamed mother of one of Ross' children.Vibe.com: 50 Cent Allegedly Plans Porn... His 2006 debut, Port of Miami, has been certified platinum by the RIAA. His second album, Trilla, featured "The Boss" which has been his best charting single to date. Ross' third album, Deeper Than Rap is expected to be released in 2009.

Ross grew up in Carol City, Florida, a suburb located outside of Miami. He received a football scholarship from Albany State in Georgia. After just two weeks Ross dropped out of the program to focus on his career in music. After dropping out, he signed a deal with Poe Boy Entertainment. He soon began making a name for himself by appearing on tracks by fellow Florida rappers including Trick Daddy and Trina.
