NBA Career
Adelman was drafted by the San Diego Rockets and went on to play for four other professional basketball teams. He played a total of 462 games, and retired with a career average of 7.7 points, 3.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds.Sports Pundit: Rick AdelmanCoaching Career
Adelman began coaching in 1977 for the Chemeketa Community College basketball team. In 1989, Adelman was appointed the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers.
