  • ORU Scandal:

    During October of 2007, a lawsuit was filed by three former professors who worked at ORU. In the lawsuit they made allegations against Roberts, stating he misused university funds and gave orders to the university to participate in Randi Miller's political campaign. Other allegations included using university funds to pay for his daughter's trip to the Bahamas, use of university staff to complete daughter's homework, remodeled his house with monies from the university and billed the university for damages done to the university's golf carts by his daughter. His wife, Lindsay, was also included in the allegations made. On October 17, 2007, Roberts was granted an extended leave of absence. On November 23, he officially resigned.
