    Quinn played two seasons at Butler High School in Huntsville, Alabama, before moving to Ohio during his sophomore year. He graduated at Maple Heights High School where he played as a tight end and was ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 15 tight end in the country.

    He was a team offensive MVP, two-time all-conference and all-district selection, and a member of SuperPrep's All-Midwest Team. He led the Maple Heights to a 10-2 record and a berth in the playoffs as a senior.     Quinn attended University of North Carolina and played with the Tar Heels as a tight end for three seasons before he declared to forego his senior season to enter the 2009 NFL Draft. As a freshman in 2005, he played in nine games on special teams and as a reserve tight end.
