Rich Hill

Major League Baseball left-handed pitcher Rich Hill plays for the Baltimore Orioles.

Hill was traded to the Orioles from the Chicago Cubs on February 2, 2009, for a player to be named later.MLB.com: Orioles trade for left-hander Hill On the same day, the Cubs traded Michael Wuertz to the Oakland Athletics for two minor-league players.

After playing baseball at the University of Michigan, the Cubs selected Hill in the fourth round of the 2002 amateur draft. After a few years as a minor league prospect in the Cubs farm system, Hill made his major league debut on June 15, 2005. Hill started 16 games for the Cubs in 2006, posting a 6-7 record with a 4.17 ERA. In 2007, he started 32 games, with a record of 11-8 and a 3.92 ERA.
