Rice Pilaf

Rice pilaf is an easy way of preparing rice so it will stay light and fluffy without clumping. Rice pilaf is usually made with long grain rice, finely chopped vegetables, butter or oil, pepper, and salt, boiled in chicken broth.

How to Make Rice Pilaf

Saute the vegetables in a pan, then add the rice and cook a bit until grains start to become translucent around the edges. Add broth. Allow to simmer covered until rice has absorbed the liquid, 15-25 minutes. Rice should be fluffed, and at this point you can add in nuts, herbs or raisins.
