Rice Krispies

Rice Krispies are a breakfast cereal featuring the animated mascots Snap, Crackle, and Pop. The cereal is made out of toasted dried grains of rice, which when exposed to milk, create the signature crackling sound that Kellogg's has emphasized through their marketing.

Rice Krispie Treats are made from melted margarine and marshmallows mixed with Rice Krispies cereal. The sticky mixture is then pressed into a pan, cooled, and cut into squares. For easier serving, make sure the pan is greased, or line it with waxed paper. You can add chocolate chips, M&M's or other candies to the mix. Kellogg's now sells premade versions of the treats under their own label.
