  • Rhodesian Ridgeback Attributes

Though Rhodesian ridgebacks were once used as hunting dogs in Africa, and are bred from European hunting dogs mixed with a ridged African breed, in America they are primarily used as family pets. They have a good sense of sight and smell, and are generally quiet and as puppies are quite active. They are a minor breed in the U.S., and as such patient pet owners will usually be able to find one available from a breeder.RRCUS: Rhodesian Ridgeback Historical Information
