Plot Synopsis
Rhett Butler's People chronicles the life of Rhett Butler well before his infamous love affair with Scarlett O'Hara. The novel follows a young Butler from his twenty-first birthday until almost the moment he meets the woman of his dreams. The story examines his life and what it took to be a man of integrity during a critical and complicated time in American history.
