Rhett Akins is a country music singer-songwriter who began climbing the charts in the mid 1990s. The first single off of his debut album, A Thousand Memories, was "What They're Talking About." His first big hit from the album was "That Ain't My Truck."
His second album produced the chart topping hit "Don't Get Me Started," however his 1998 album failed to achieve the same commercial success. His fourth album released in 2002, and his fifth in 2007, produced only minor hits.
Some of Akins' other singles include "I Break for Brunettes," "She Said Yes," "Better Than It Used to Be," "Drivin' My Life Away" and "Kiss My Country Ass."
Akins' song writing credits include the 2008 Brooks & Dunn single "Put a Girl In."
