Football Career
Richards played college football with the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 1999 to 2002. Starting in 40 games, he had a standout collegiate career, winning Big 12 honors during his junior and senior seasons.ArenaFootball.com: Rex RichardsAfter college, Richards signed with the Indianapolis Colts on September 29, 2003. He stayed with the Colts, playing exclusively with their practice squad. In November of 2004, Richards signed with the San Jose SaberCats in the Arena Football League.
