Professional football quarterback Rex Grossman plays for the Houston Texans in the National Football League.
Grossman, who previously played for the Chicago Bears, became a free agent in February of 2009 and signed with the Texans on June 12, 2009. The terms of the contract were not immediately announced.http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/11845173

Early Years
A high school standout at Bloomington High, Grossman threw for 44 touchdowns in his senior season, including the championship game where he threw five touchdowns, setting a state record. In 1998, Grossman earned player of the year by USA Today and was one of the top high school recruits in 1999. Recent Career
Grossman played college football with the Florida Gators, recording 9,164 passing yards for 77 passing touchdowns. He was a runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 2001 and was selected as the Associated Press National Player-of-the-Year.
After college, Grossman was drafted by the Bears in the first round of the 2003 NFL draft. His play was limited for his first few seasons, playing in just eight games over three seasons with the Bears, after injuries forced him to the sidelines. Grossman led the team to an NFC Championship in his first season as a starter in 2006.
