Revenge of the Nerds is a comedy about a group of nerdy college students who band together to start their own fraternity and challenge their persecution at the hands of the school's "Jocks". Released in 1984, the film follows the nerds as they compete to win the annual homecoming carnival and wrest control of the Greek council from the "Jocks." The film was a commercial success and spawned a number of sequels, including the 1987 film Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise.
