Return of Jezebel James was a short-lived FOX sitcom created by Gilmore Girls writer Amy Sherman-Palladino. Starring Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose, the series revolved around Sarah Thomkins, a children's book editor, who makes amends with her estranged younger sister Coco in order to have Coco act as a surrogate for the baby she wants, but can't have herself.
The name "Jezebel James" is a reference to Coco's childhood imaginary friend and the central character of a book series Sarah published as an adult.
The series debuted on March 14, 2008, but was canceled after only three episodes had aired due to low ratings. The four unaired episodes were released via iTunes.
