Common Enemy

The enemy in all of the Resistance games are known as Chimera. Rather than being an actual species, the Chimera is actually a virus that infects other creatures and transforms them into monsters. Because of the multiple strains of Chimera, their physical appearance can vary widely based on the original host of the infected virus. Generally they have between two and six bright yellow eyes and greyish green skin. They also have massive amounts of speed and strength, as well as regeneration abilities due to their super fast metabolism. This element does have a downside, as the Chimera are known to easily overheat, therefore their ideal habitat is in extremely cold environments.Wikia.com Resistance Wiki: Chimera
Chimeran leaders, known as Angels, have telepathic abilities to send commands to all Chimeran soldiers. If for some reason, this link is destroyed, the Chimeran soldiers are unable to survive. To prevent this from happening all of the Angels are linked together. The Chimeran technology is vastly superior to human technology, with weapons that are able to sophistically hone in on enemies, even going so far as smash through walls.
