  • Introduction

  • Weapons

    • There are thirteen weapons available for use in Resistance: Fall of Man. The weapons listed below are among those available during your first play through. Additional weapons are available during or after a second play through.

  • M5A2 Carbine

    • The M5A2 Carbine rifle is your best friend while playing Resistance. You'll begin the game with this multi-purpose rifle and continue to use it throughout the campaign. An excellent medium to long-range rifle, the M5A2 also has a 40mm grenade launcher mounted under the barrel. Press L3 to zoom in and L1 to fire a grenade.

  • Bullseye and Bullseye Mark II

    • The Bullseye is the favored weapon of the Chimera. Not the most powerful weapon in the game, but it can be one of the most accurate. Using the Bullseye's alternate fire will direct a homing tag at your target. Once a target has been tagged, every successive round fired will zero in on the target.
    • The Bullseye Mark II functions exactly like the Bullseye but does more damage than its predecessor.

  • Rossmore 236 Shotgun

    • The Rossmore 236 combat shotgun is a dream while fighting in close quarters. However, as distance to target increases, the shotgun quickly loses effectiveness. It is perfect for killing Howlers and Grey Jacks. The shotgun's alternate fire lets loose a double barrel blast, which is particularly devastating up close.

  • L23 Fareye

    • The L23 Fareye sniper rifle is perfect for dispatching targets at a great distance. Once you bring up the scope, use Up and Down on the directional pad to zoom in or out. While you are looking through the Fareye's scope, you can also press L1 to focus your concentration and slow time to line up the perfect headshot. Release L1 to refill your focus meter.

  • L209 LAARK

    • The L209 Light Anti-Aircraft Rocket is perfect for taking down Chimeran armored units. It can also be used in a pinch to kill large groups of Chimera before they run you over. Once you let a rocket fly, you are then given some control over the rocket's maneuverability. Press L1 after firing a rocket to slow its forward movement. Use the targeting reticule to guide the rocket to your target.

  • Frag Grenade

    • Frag grenades are particularly useful for flushing Chimeran troops out from cover. They also feature a small delay before they explode so you can bounce them off walls and around corners.

  • Hedgehog Grenade

    • Hedgehog grenades are hand grenades that explode in a barrage of spikes when tossed. Unlike the frag grenade, these grenades have a large area of effect, killing more than one Chimera without having to be placed precisely.

  • Air-Fuel Grenade

    • Air-Fuel grenades are exceptionally dangerous in close quarters. Throw a grenade into a room and watch it fill with fog. The fog will then ignite into a ball of flame, roasting anything unlucky enough to be caught. Particularly useful when destroying Leaper Pods.

  • General Tips

    1. Take your time. The faster you try and rush through these stages, the more difficult they become.
    2. Use cover, especially when you are taking damage.
    3. Stay out of frays to recharge health.
    4. Attack from a distance. Use your sniper rifle or M5A2 to take out Chimera before they spot you.
    5. Grenades are your friends!

  • Campaign: York

  • The Gauntlet

    1. Follow your squad up the road and engage the Hybrids.
    2. Kill the Hybrids with your M5A2 using L3 to zoom in.
    3. Proceed down the road moving in between cover.
    4. Once you get to the barricade, a Hybrid will come around the corner. Use one of your grenades to kill him.
    5. Proceed around the barricade, continue up the road and take a right.
    6. Once you are past the barricade more British troops will drop in from a Kingfisher. Follow them up the road.
    7. The squad will lead you to a large square with Hybrids on a balcony. Duck behind cover and use L3 to zoom in and dispatch the Hybrids.
    8. Some hybrids will then emerge from a doorway to the right of the balcony. Use a grenade to kill them and head through the doorway into the house.
    9. The first floor of the house contains lots of ammo and health. Now is a good time to stock up.
    10. Once you have collected all you need from the first floor, head up the stairs.
    11. On the second floor, there is a room with some Hybrids. Use another grenade to take them out quickly.
    12. There will be at least one more Hybrid waiting for you in the room with the destroyed floor. Head to the right side to surprise him.
    13. Now walk back into the street.
    14. Once at street level, you will join another squad. Follow them up the road.
    15. A squad of Hybrids is hiding behind cover. Taking cover, shoot them with your M5A2 or grenades.
    16. Continue up the road to the big stone archway. I know it's pretty, but you may want to attend to the Hybrids running at you through the archway. This is a great place to try out the grenade launcher mounted to your M5A2. Target the group of Hybrids and press L1 to fire a grenade.
    17. Follow your squad into the dry creek bed.
    18. TIP: The first shot from your M5A2 is deadly accurate. It is more effective to fire one round at a time or in short controlled bursts.
    19. TIP: Grenades bounce off walls so they are very effective at killing enemies around corners.

  • A Lone Survivor

    1. You will awaken in a daze. Follow your squad mate through the dry creek bed.
    2. As you walk along the creek bed, you will come to a right turn. Some Leapers will come running at you. Shoot them with your M5A2 and watch your squad mate's back. Shoot any Leapers that attack him.
    3. Follow your squad mate to the bridge where more Leapers will attack. Kill them with your M5A2.
    4. You will come to a grate with some stairs beside it. More Leapers will come at you. Kill them and head up the stairs.
    5. Once up the stairs, cross back under the bridge to the other side of the creek bed.
    6. More Leapers attack while you are crossing. Use your M5A2 to dispatch them quickly and head up the hill to the other side of the grate.
    7. As you head back down into the creek bed, you will see some Hybrids shooting at you from a balcony.
    8. Toss a grenade and watch them scatter.
    9. Head up the stairs. At the top of the stairs, enter the house.
    10. The first and second floors of the house are empty. Access the third floor.
    11. Hybrids are shooting at you from the fourth floor. Use your M5A2's zoom R3 to kill them.
    12. There are more hybrids on the third floor. Kill them with your M5A2 or grenades.
    13. Once the third and fourth floors are clear, go to the next house.
    14. Walk through the house to the next one. Use your M5A2 to shoot the Hybrids on the floor below. Toss grenades when the Hybrids run for cover.
    15. A waiting tank is outside once the house is clear.
    16. Drop down to street level and jump in the tank and follow the road.
    17. Hybrids begin running out into the street. Shoot them with your tank's main gun and they won't give you any more trouble.
    18. If you miss any with your main cannon, switch to your turret by pressing the Circle button.
    19. Use your tank's main gun to kill any Hybrids shooting at you from a balcony.
    20. Destroy any Anti-Armour guns with a blast from your tank's main gun.
    21. Continue through a big stone archway in the tank.

  • Spires

    1. Defend the Landing Zone from the enemy in this stage.
    2. Some Hybrids attack. Kill them with your M5A2 and head down to street level.
    3. Soldiers are shooting at the Hybrid sentry gun emplacement. A head-on assault will get you killed. Move around the right side of the emplacement and surprise the Hybrids. Coming at them from the side prevents them from using their sentry guns.
    4. When the Hybrids at the first emplacement are dead, move to the second emplacement at the gas station.
    5. Kill the Hybrids outside. Approach them from the side so they can't make use of the cover.
    6. Use grenades to kill the Hybrids manning the sentry guns inside the building. Alternatively, run inside the building and kill them with a melee attack (by pressing Triangle) or your M5A2.
    7. The third gun emplacement is directly opposite the gas station emplacement. The easiest way to clear it out is to jump on one of the sentry guns at the gas station and blast away the Hybrids.
    8. Once the majority have been killed, switch to your M5A2 and mop up the rest.
    9. After you've taken out the three sentry gun emplacements, Hybrids will reappear at the first gun emplacement. Head back through the gas station and approach them from the left.
    10. After you've taken out the second wave of Hybrids, turn around and head back to the gas station. A second wave of Hybrids appear.
    11. Once the gas station is cleared of the second wave of Hybrids, the level ends.
    12. TIP: If you are having trouble shooting the Hybrids, take cover behind sand bags and toss a grenade. If it doesn't kill the enemy, it will at least cause him to vacate his cover.

  • Campaign: Grimsby

  • Fates Worse Than Death

    1. Head into the first room and kill the Menials with a melee attack by pressing Triangle. If a Menial grabs you, shake the SIXAXIS controller to get him off.
    2. Head into the second room and melee attack the Menials.
    3. The third room should be empty. There is a door to your right. Hit the switch and go through the door.
    4. More Menials: Don't waste your ammo. Melee bash them.
    5. If you try and exit this room, there will be some wood blocking the door. Use your melee attack to break it down and head into the second room upstairs.
    6. Run up and whack the Menials. Quickly fall back and take cover.
    7. You will have garnered the attention of some Hybrids who will begin shooting. Zoom in with your M5A2 and shoot them from a distance, remembering to use grenades to get them out of cover.
    8. Kill the Hybrids on the other side of the door at the end of the hallway.
    9. Walk through the halls until you come to a lift. Hit the switch and take the lift.
    10. As you exit the lift, head to your left. You will be in a long room. One of the catwalks should have a Hybrid. Kill him with your M5A2 from a distance.
    11. At the end of the long room, hang a left and jump down to the next level. Kill the Menials with your melee attack.
    12. Walk through the door to the outside.
    13. Watch out for Laser Mines. As you approach, they will fly up from the ground and begin shooting you with lasers. One shot with your M5A2 will take them down.
    14. Once you're through the minefield, head up the stairs.
    15. Break the two crates with a melee attack and go through the door.
    16. As you head through the door, shoot the laser mines once each to destroy them. Head up the next staircase.
    17. Follow the catwalk around and then jump down to the next level. If you're quick, take out the laser mines immediately upon landing. Hide behind the forklift if they start shooting. Try to get a shot at them before you're vaporized.
    18. Go through the door and there will be some more Menials. Kill them quickly with a melee attack. Turn your attention to the ledge on your left. Kill the Hybrids with your M5A2 or a grenade.
    19. Head to the door way and shoot the laser mine right in front of it.
    20. In the next room you'll see a bunch of Hybrids skulking about. Shoot them from a distance before they see you. If any Menials come your way kill them down with a quick melee bash.
    21. Walk around the room, collect ammo and head up the stairs.
    22. Once up the stairs, you'll see a big heavy door with a switch. Hit the switch and go through the door.
    23. There are more laser mines here. Shoot them quickly or run for cover.
    24. Break the boxes and jump down.

  • Conversion

    1. Walk down the hall into a large room.
    2. Shoot any Hybrids with your M5A2 and remember to aim for their big ugly heads.
    3. Walk up the ramp and across the wooden planks.
    4. Once you get across the wooden planks, look to your right and you'll see Hybrids below. Zoom in with your M5A2 and pop them in the head.
    5. Jump down to the next level and you will see a doorway. Some hybrids will emerge shoot them before they can get out into the open.
    6. Head through the doorway and into the conversion room.
    7. Walk through the conversion room and enter the door with the yellow light above it.
    8. As you head up the staircase, some Leapers will charge. Run back down the stairs shoot the Leapers with your M5A2 as they follow down the stairs.
    9. As you climb back to the top of the stairs, more Leapers will stream over the wall. Shoot them with your M5A2 and try to keep your distance. Head back down the stairs if necessary.
    10. Once the Leapers are dead, safely continue back up the stairs. At the top, hit the switch and go through the door.
    11. Walk past the hanging Pods and look down the stairs. Zoom in and shoot the Hybrids with your M5A2 or grenades and continue down the stairs.
    12. Circle around the tanks for cover and use grenades to flush out the Hybrids. Be on guard for those sneaky Menials.
    13. At the end of this room, there is a large door. Hit the switch and go through.
    14. There will be a box on your right in the doorway. Use the box for cover and shoot the Hybrids on the opposite ledge.
    15. Walk a bit further and you'll come across a laser mine. Shoot to kill.
    16. As you cross to the final ledge with the lift, there is another laser mine directly to your right. Kill it before it shoots you in the back.
    17. Walk towards the lift. Two more laser mines pop up. Shoot them.
    18. Hit the switch and ride the lift up.

  • Hunted Down

    1. Begin this segment in a long room. Stop and watch how Chimera are born, or continue.
    2. Once outside, walk forward and to the left. Hit the switch to take the lift down.
    3. Exit the lift and walk straight ahead. There will be a building to your right.
    4. Destroy the laser mine in front of the door and walk to the other door.
    5. At the other door is another laser mine. Destroy that one and the bar should be safe.
    6. Grab the Ammo and Shotgun behind the bar.
    7. Go through the second doorway to leave the bar.
    8. Shoot the Laser Mines ahead before they shoot you.
    9. The building on your right will have more laser mines. Take care of them and collect the health and ammo.
    10. Exit this building and take a right turn. Shoot the laser mine before you turn right.
    11. Walk along the boardwalk killing laser mines until you come to some Hybrids. Kill them with your M5A2 or your new Shotgun.
    12. Enter the room they were protecting.
    13. Make appropriate use of cover and Hedgehog grenades to take out the Hybrids.
    14. After the fire fight, head up the steps and go around the corner to the right.
    15. Use grenades to flush out the Hybrids and your M5A2 to put them down for good.
    16. Head out the door on the left side of the building.
    17. Take your next right and walk up the stairs.
    18. Walk up the hill at the top of the stairs and watch the door on the left.
    19. Watch out for Leapers! Stand back and they will filter through the doorway. Shoot them before they get out in the open. You can now enter the room.
    20. Once in the room, more Leapers will appear as you try to go down the stairs. Shoot them as they come up the stairs.
    21. Go down the stairs to the lift. Hit the switch and take the lift up.
    22. Walk out of the lift into a large warehouse. There's nothing in here. Once you exit the room, the fray begins.
    23. Use your M5A2 to shoot the Hybrids in the head and your grenades to flush them out if they run for cover. Hedgehog grenades work particularly well.
    24. Up ahead will be a sentry gun emplacement. DO NOT try and attack it head on.
    25. Go around the right side and jump up on to the flatbed trucks.
    26. Use the crates to get behind the sentry gun position and kill the sentry gunner.
    27. Now that all the Hybrids are gone, go up the stairway and across the boardwalk.
    28. Walk across the planks of wood and through the door to outside.
    29. As you proceed down the street some Hybrids will attack from the shop windows. Toss a few grenades into the shop and continue down the street until you reach some stairs on your left. Ascend the stairs and head through the archway at the top.
    30. Follow the street until you come to a large clearing with a tree in the middle.
    31. Two Howlers will jump out at you. Use your Auger or Shotgun to kill them quickly.
    32. With the Howlers dead go into the park and down into the valley. Watch out for Hedgehog mines if they pop up try and put something between you and the mine.
    33. Follow along the barbed wire fence. As you walk, some Radial mines will pop up to your left. Jump to avoid their blast by pressing the X button. Walk over the trench via the bridge and continue along the wall.
    34. As you go along the wall some Hedgehog mines will pop up duck behind the sandbags with L2 to avoid taking damage.
    35. Once you come over the ridge you will see an old children's playground with some Hybrid's patrolling use your M5A2 to kill them and then toss a couple grenades to kill the Hybrids on the other side of the playground. If they throw Hedgehog grenades at you be sure to put something like the playground equipment or a tree between you and the grenade.
    36. On the other side of the park you will find a gate. Go through it and some Radial mines will pop out crouch with L2 to avoid their blast.
    37. Continue forward and some Hybrids will jump out at you from an alley behind a car. Toss a grenade at the car to blow it up and kill the Hybrids using it for cover. You can use your M5A2 to kill what's left, then head down the alley directly in front of you.
    38. As you proceed down the alley you will turn left and be confronted with some Hedgehog mines and a Steel head. Retreat around the corner to avoid damage from the mines.
    39. Once they've discharged run back to kill the Steel head. Use your M5A2 or Auger to kill the remaining Hybrids in the area.
    40. You will find a building on your left with a staircase leading upwards. Take it.
    41. Just inside the building will be some Hybrids kill them with your M5A2 and grenades.
    42. Move into the next room and there will big a massive hole in the floor. Look down and kill the Hybrid before he notices you. Now jump down the hole.
    43. Head out the door back into the alley and take a right. If more Hedgehog mines pop up at you be sure to retreat back around the corner to avoid taking damage.
    44. Great... more Leapers. They will again begin streaming down the alley. Shoot them with your M5A2 running backwards if you have to.
    45. Further down the alley you will see an archway and a couple of Hybrids will emerge. Kill them with a Hedgehog grenade. Move through the archway and look to your left. You will see a Hybrid manning a sentry gun use your M5A2 to take him out quickly from the side. Now head back through the archway and take your first two rights.
    46. Walk past the sentry gun and up the stairs.
    47. TIP: If you see a Hybrid on a balcony that doesn't look too sturdy try shooting the underside. Sometimes the balcony will come down Hybrid and all.

  • Outgunned

    1. As you begin this stage grab as much ammo as you can...You'll need it.
    2. First run into the street and engage the Hybrids.
    3. Your best bet is to sweep around the circle clockwise using cover and killing the Hybrids as you go. Alternatively you can use the statue in the middle of the traffic circle as cover and kill all the hybrids from there. The statue makes for a great piece of cover since you can circle around it.
    4. Once the first wave of Hybrids are all dead and gone run back to where you started the level.
    5. A Chimeran drop ship will fly in and drop a container full of Hybrids. When the container doors open toss a few grenades into the container and use your M5A2 to kill any remaining Hybrids.
    6. After the Hybrids in the dropped container are dead, run back to the statue in the middle of the traffic circle and seek cover. There's a Stalker inbound.

  • Boss Fight: Stalker

    1. Seek cover behind the statue in the middle of the traffic circle.
    2. The Stalker will come down the alley in front of you with guns blazing. Crouch with L2 behind the statue to avoid the Stalker's turret fire.
    3. This fight will take some patience. The Stalker will move around the traffic circle. Circle the statue. Be sure to keep out of the Stalker's range of vision.
    4. Eventually the Stalker will turn its attention away from you to deal with some British troops.
    5. While the Stalker is distracted take a look at its rear and you will see a yellow power node: that's the weak point. Take aim with your M5A2 and empty your clip into it.
    6. The Stalker will slowly turn its attention back towards you. This is bad. The Stalker will begin firing rockets in your direction.
    7. As long as you crouch (L2) behind the statue the rockets should miss you.
    8. Once the Stalker has finished his barrage of rockets it will switch back to its turret.
    9. Use the same strategy as before by circling around the statue staying out of the Stalker's line of sight. #Once again he will become distracted leaving his rear exposed. Take aim just like before and empty your clip again.
    10. Then it's back to cover behind the statue to avoid another rocket barrage.
    11. Repeat the process a few more times and victory will be yours.

  • Into the Fire

    1. As you begin this level head up the road and turn to the right.
    2. You will see Hybrids manning sentry guns. Crouch (L2) behind some cover and toss grenades into the sentry gun positions to kill the gunners.
    3. Once you're past the sentry guns head down into the trench.
    4. Continue up the middle trench. Some Hybrids will pop out and attack you. You can take them out quickly with some grenades or shoot the explosive barrel and watch them go boom.
    5. Follow the trench until it curves to the left. Around the corner you will see some Hybrids behind some sandbags use a few Hedgehog grenades to kill them. Head up the stairs at the end of the trench.
    6. Pass through the Chimeran hut and head right up the hill.
    7. As you head up the hill you'll see another sentry gun emplacement.
    8. Go around the right side of the sentry gun and you'll find a trench walk through it and jump up the supply boxes on the other side.
    9. You will now be right close to the sentry gun. Run around to the left side of the emplacement and kill the Hybrid gunner. If that seems too dangerous for you just toss a grenade into the sentry gun emplacement to do the job.
    10. Move past the sentry gun and further up the hill and you will find another trench.
    11. Head down into the trench and there will be a sentry gun. Bounce a grenade off the wall to take out the sentry.
    12. With the sentry down, go through the little tunnel to your left. It will take you behind the sentry gun follow the trench along until it ends.
    13. You'll emerge from the trench just outside a building. Clear out the first floor with some grenades and your M5A2.
    14. Once the first floor is clear head up the stairs to the second floor.
    15. On the second floor you will find some Hybrids around some mortar cannons. Kill the Hybrids with a few grenades and you're done.

  • Conduits

    1. You will start this level in an old subway tunnel follow the tracks till your come to a platform on your left.
    2. As you approach the gate you'll see a Titan emerge. These slow brutes aren't very difficult to kill.
    3. Equip your Shotgun and blast away at his face explosives work equally well. The Titan has only two attacks. He will fire his massive cannon or swipe at you with his claws.
    4. Keep your distance to avoid his claws. When the Titan's gun begins to glow he's about to fire make sure to get out of the way. After some Shotgun blasts and a few grenades the Titan will overheat and explode.
    5. Switch to your M5A2 and go through the gate the Titan emerged from
    6. Walk through this room to the other side and a British soldier will open the gate for you. Follow him through the door.
    7. This is where you will pick up the Fareye sniper rifle. You can use the scope by pressing R3 once in the scope use the Up and Down buttons on the D-Pad to zoom in and out. You can also hold L1 while looking through the scope to slow time and give you a few extra seconds to line up that perfect headshot.
    8. Go on over to one of the windows and get a few practice shots in. Once feel comfortable, equip your M5A2 and head down the massive hole in the floor and out the building.
    9. Go down into the ditch on your left. There will be an ammo cache and health packs. Use them to refill your weapon and life bar.
    10. Now that you're full up, use your M5A2 or the Fareye to kill the Hybrids opposite from you.
    11. Head up the other side of the ditch. You will find some Hybrids taking cover behind the concrete. The beauty of concrete is that it doesn't stand up well against explosives.
    12. Use your M5A2 to kill the Hybrids while tossing grenades to erode any cover the Hybrids might find.
    13. Press the attack forward and you will come to a bridge cross it and dispatch the Hybrids on the other side with a few grenades.
    14. Head through the debris to the right and you will come to a ramp leading downward. Use your Fareye sniper to kill the Hybrids at the back of the base then switch to your M5A2 to kill the Hybrids closer to you.
    15. Keep your M5A2 equipped because as you head down the hill some Leapers will come at you. Run backwards and keep firing with your M5A2.
    16. You can now walk back down the hill and enter the building.
    17. As you enter the building go to the second platform and there will be a door to your right. Walk through it and up to the giant hole in the wall.

  • Viper's Nest

    1. This level throws you right into a Chimeran base. Head down the hill where you will fight a Titan and some Hybrids.
    2. Just like before use your Shotgun on the Titan while avoiding his cannon blasts and claw swipes.
    3. As soon as the Titan and Hybrids are destroyed, head into the lift and you will be pushed up to the first platform.
    4. Once you reach the platform, walk around to the other side and you will find some Hybrids. You can use your M5A2 or your Shotgun to kill them with ease.
    5. If you look across to the second platform you'll see some Hybrids manning sentry guns. Equip your Fareye sniper and take them out with headshots.
    6. Cross the bridge over to the second platform. You may find some Hybrids here use your Shotgun to kill them quickly.
    7. Head over to the third platform.
    8. On the third platform will be a Steel head armed with an Auger. Use your Shotgun's double barrel blast by pressing L1 to kill the Steel head.
    9. Now walk around the other side of the platform and kill the Menials with a melee attack (Triangle).
    10. Equip your Fareye sniper and kill the Hybrids on the opposite platform before lowering the bridge.
    11. With the Hybrids dead and the bridge lowered head back to the second platform and cross to the fourth platform via the bridge you just lowered.
    12. On the fourth platform there will be more Hybrids. Blow them away with your Shotgun then head to the far side of the platform and take the lift down.
    13. At the bottom you will have fight another Titan. Explosives and a few Shotgun blasts will have him exploding in no time.

  • No Way Out

    1. As soon as you start this level you will be surrounded by smoke. You should see a map on the wall. Run to it! Hybrids will be coming out of the tunnel to the left of the map.
    2. Shoot the Hybrids with your M5A2 as they come out of the tunnel or better yet throw a couple of grenades into the tunnel.
    3. Run into the tunnel when you get the chance. Continue running until the smoke clears. You may have to fight any Hybrids you missed once the smoke clears. If so use your Shotgun.
    4. Take your first right after you clear the smoke and keep going straight till you come to a large room with tables and chairs.
    5. When you enter this room Leapers will start streaming at you. Retreat into the tunnel and shoot the Leapers with your M5A2 as they come around the tables.
    6. Head out the giant steel door on the other side of the room. Follow the tunnel and make a left at the first T-junction.
    7. Follow that down. Take your first right and next left. You will spot some Hybrids in the doorway. Zoom in and kill the first one with your M5A2 then throw some grenades to kill the ones that come through the door.
    8. Switch to your Shotgun. Some more Hybrids will come at you from the side kill them with your Shotgun.
    9. Walk through the door into the area where you first saw they Hybrids there will be a some stairs on your right go up them.
    10. At the top of the stairs you'll see more Hybrids snipe them with your Fareye before they notice you.
    11. Once at the top of the stairs go through the door and fight the Steel head by strafing with your M5A2 from left to right to avoid his Auger fire.
    12. Your fight with the Steel will have attracted some attention. Move to the tunnel just to the right of the door you came in and seek cover behind the rail car.
    13. Equip your Fareye sniper and kill the Hybrids on the other side of the platform. Remember you can use L1 to slow down time with the Fareye.
    14. Once the Hybrids are toast head over to where they were coming from and make your way to the far side of the platform.
    15. You will see some stairs on the other side of the platform go on over to them and you will fight some Hybrids. Use your M5A2 or some grenades to take them out.
    16. At the top of the stairs follow the tunnel to your left and some Steel heads and Hybrids will emerge toss a few grenades into the tunnel to keep them warm then head down the tunnel into the locker room.
    17. In the locker room walk over to the showers and there will be a big hole in the go on through it.
    18. You will emerge in a room with some barrels and two tunnels. Take the tunnel on the left and follow that until you come to a large open steel door.
    19. Go through the steel door and a Slipskull runs past you. DO NOT follow it. Instead crouch down just to the right of the door the Slipskull went through. Zoom in and take aim with your M5A2 at the spot on the wall just below the light fixture in front of you. The Slipskulls will jump to that spot when they are shot. There are a couple of them so be patient and make sure they're all dead before entering the room.
    20. Upon entering the room walk down the hallway till you get to the black metal gates. A Burrower should burst through the walls in front of you. You can't follow it but you can head up the tunnel it came out of.
    21. Follow the left Burrower tunnel until you come to an opening. Equip your Fareye sniper and kill the Hybrids on the catwalk. Use the rock by the opening for cover.
    22. Once the Hybrids on the catwalk are dead jump down into the room.
    23. Climb the metal staircase all the way up to the fourth level of the catwalk. You will see a red light with a switch underneath it. Go and flip the switch.
    24. After you flip the switch go on back down the stairs to the second level of the catwalk. There will be some Hybrids zoom in and shoot them with your M5A2.
    25. Go through the door and take your first right. You will see an opening. Head on through and you will be in a large round room on a catwalk.
    26. Turn on your flashlight by pressing Right on the D-Pad. Then follow the catwalk around to your left and head down the metal staircase.
    27. Once on the lower level you'll see an opening on the far side of the room. Head over and some Howlers will come at you. Equip your Shotgun and blast away.
    28. With the howlers dead go on down the tunnel they came from and you will see some electrical switches walk over to them to end the level.
    29. TIP: If you're feeling daring in this stage running around the tunnels blasting Chimera with your Shotgun can be effective. Just remember to retreat back to cover if your health gets too low.

  • Secrets

    1. You will start this stage at the electrical panel where you ended the previous one.
    2. Equip your Shotgun and kill the Hybrids that come around the corner.
    3. Now you need to get back to the room where you fought the Howlers at the end of the last stage.
    4. Use your Fareye to kill the Hybrids from a distance so you don't have to engage them directly.
    5. Kill as many as you can with your Fareye then switch to your M5A2 to finish clearing the large room of Chimera.
    6. Once the room is clear head up the metal staircase to the catwalk. Follow the catwalk around to the opening on the far side of the room and go through the tunnel.
    7. Walk straight ahead through the blast door and you will emerge in a long room with stairs.
    8. Upon entering you will see some Hybrids at the far end of the room. Equip your Fareye and aim for the head.
    9. Now that the Hybrids are out of the way head down the stairs into the room you will see an open gate on your left head on through,
    10. Once through the gate go down the stairs and then under the large storage tank and enter the crawl space.
    11. In the crawl space you will face two waves of Leapers the first just as you enter and the second as you make your first left. Equip your M5A2 and fire at the Leapers retreating backwards as necessary.
    12. Follow the crawl space around to the next room. You will emerge in another room with an open gate.
    13. Use the switch on the wall to open the heavy blast doors. Go through the blast door and you will see a large metal door open on your left go through and follow that tunnel down.
    14. If you follow the tunnel down a bit you will see some Steel heads up ahead. Equip your Fareye sniper and aim for the part of their head not covered by armor. One each should do.
    15. Go a bit further down the tunnel and look to your right you will see another big steel door go through it.
    16. As you walk through the big steel door you will see another Burrower tunnel. Follow the right tunnel down.
    17. As you walk down the tunnel some Leapers will begin streaming at you. Fire with you M5A2 as you run backwards once all the Leaper are dead continue down the tunnel.
    18. As you continue down the tunnel you will come across some orange pods on the ground. These are Leaper Pods.
    19. Movement activates these pods. If you approach the pods, they will erupt with Leapers.
    20. Keep your distance. Try to destroy the pods with explosives. If the Leapers manage to hatch kill them with your M5A2 running backwards if necessary.
    21. TIP: Air-Fuel grenades are particularly effective due to their large blast radius. Just don't get caught in the flames yourself.
    22. Walk past the destroyed Leaper Pods to the end of the tunnel. You will emerge back in the base.
    23. Head to the right and you will find some ammo, health and an open door. Go through the open door.

  • Angel

    1. When you begin this level in the ransacked "map room" there is only open door. Go through it out into a long hallway.
    2. As you get to the end of the hall way there will be a door to your right. Stand in front of it and it will open.
    3. In this room are a bunch of Menials. Run into the room and use your melee attack (Triangle) to kill the Menials or you can wait at the door for them to come to you then use your melee attack when they get close enough.
    4. On the far side of this room will be some glass along the right wall. You can break it. Push on through to the next part of the room with the metal staircase.
    5. Head up the stairs and get to cover Hybrids will begin shooting you from the other side of the glass. Toss grenades into the room until all the Hybrids are dead then jump over the wall to enter the room.
    6. Go through the rooms and then take a left. You will see some Hybrids at the far end of the hallway at the bottom of the stairs. Use your Fareye to kill them before they notice you.
    7. As you head down the stairs Lepers will come at you. Retreat upstairs, firing with your M5A2.
    8. Once the Leapers are dead head back down the stairs. As you walk the hallway will begin to curve and you'll notice some windows on either side of the hall. These rooms contain Hybrids that will begin shooting at you.
    9. Throw some Air-Fuel grenades to clear out the rooms then continue down the hallway until you reach a large blast door. Hit the switch and go through the blast doors.
    10. The blast door will open up and you will see a Grey Jack killing a British soldier. Equip your Shotgun and shoot the Grey Jack in the face. Two or three shoots should do.
    11. Once you've killed the first Grey Jack tubes will begin coming out of the floor. Each will contain a Grey Jack who will break loose and attack you. Just like the first one use your Shotgun to blast them in the face. Keep moving as you fight the Grey Jacks they only have a melee attack but it's quite powerful.
    12. Once the Grey Jacks are all dead head through the blast doors on the other side of the room.
    13. On the other side of the blast door will be some stairs. Head up the stairs and you will find British soldier trying to fend off a Chimeran advance. Go and help them.
    14. There should be a staircase in front of the large Angle tank go up them to get a better shot at the Hybrids. Once the first wave of Hybrids is dead, head to the far side of the room opposite the Angel tank.
    15. A Burrower will burst through the far wall. When the door drops, Steel Heads will come pouring out. Use your M5A2's grenade launcher to make them sorry they did.
    16. Once all the Steel heads are dead the level will end.

  • Search and Rescue

    1. You will start this level in a nice quite park. Follow the path through the park until you reach the street. You should see Hybrids running about. Equip your Shotgun and head out into the street.
    2. Once out in the street you will see a burning bus. Walk towards the burning bus and a Howler will charge at you.
    3. Kill the Howler with your Shotgun then switch back to your M5A2. There will be some Hybrids coming out of a building. Seek cover behind the park wall if you need to.
    4. Once the Hybrids are dead walk down the street past the burning bus until you reach a barricade.
    5. Next to the barricade will be a small set of stairs walk on up and you will find two Hybrids with their backs to you. Don't approach or shoot them, just wait for the two to move closer together. Fire one of your M5A2's grenades between them to kill them both at once.
    6. Next you will need to head down the stairs to the left of the two Hybrids you just killed. Don't try and fight the Hybrids from the platform. I know the higher ground is tempting but the fence makes for lousy cover.
    7. Once you take the stairs to your left you will be able to attack the Hybrids from the side making for a much easier fight.
    8. Some Slipskulls attack after the Hybrids are dead. They aren't very difficult to fight out in the open just wait for them to stick to a wall then open fire with your M5A2.
    9. You will know a Slipskull is targeting you if a red dot appears on the screen. If this happens, quickly move to another location and the Slipskull will not fire.
    10. When all the Slipskulls are dead the level will end.

  • Common Ground

    1. You will start this level in a Jeep with Cartwright manning the turret.
    2. The jeep is simple enough to control. Steer with the Left Thumb-stick, move the camera with the Right Thumb-stick, use R2 to accelerate and L2 to break. If you're feeling fancy L1 can be used as a handbrake. Pressing Triangle will allow you to exit and reenter the Jeep.
    3. When you start off follow the road until you reach a light barricade, just drive right on through.
    4. Drive down the hill after the barricade but don't follow the road as it curves instead drive straight through the field and trees.
    5. Once through the trees you will see 2 Chimeran bunkers. Inside each of these bunkers is a switch. Once the switches in both bunkers have been activated the gate leading to the next part of the gorge will open.
    6. To clear out the bunkers use this strategy. First drive around the out side of the bunker and run over any Hybrids you see out side. Much easier than trying to shoot them. Next drive over to the bunker and park the jeep right outside the door so Cartwright can provide covering fire with the jeep's turret. It is then your job to clear out the bunker. Use your M5A2 to clear out the first floor. When you are ready to go up to the second floor walk half way up the ramp and throw a few grenades up there. Then head on up and kill any remaining Hybrids with your M5A2. Once the second level is clear hit the switch, move on to the next bunker, and repeat the strategy.
    7. Now that the gate is open drive on through and you will see a ramp made out of some rocks in front of you. Drive the jeep off the ramp and you'll come down into a gorge drive on through.
    8. Leapers will charge when you drive into the gorge. Just drive over them and continue through the gorge.
    9. When you emerge from the gorge drive straight through the field and you will see some Hybrids in the distance. Run them down and then continue on to the next set of bunkers.
    10. This second set of bunkers is no different from the first so use the strategy discussed in step six. Once you open the gate drive on through.
    11. On the other side of the gate a Chimeran drop ship will drop a container full of Hybrids right in front of you. Just run them down and drive on into the next gorge.
    12. When you emerge from the gorge make a sharp left turn and drive up the hill when you come to the end make a sharp right turn then keep driving until you come to some Chimeran sentries.
    13. Drive past the sentries then hop out of the jeep, equip your M5A2 and attack the Hybrids from behind. Once all the sentries are down get back in the jeep and continue up the hill.
    14. You will come to a third set of bunkers these are no different from the first two. Use the strategy discussed in step six and open up the last gate.
    15. Once the gate is open drive straight through. You will come to a light barricade. Drive through it to end the level.

  • A Disturbing Discovery

    1. At the beginning of this level you and Cartwright will split up. Toggle the switch in front of you to open the gate.
    2. Equip your Fareye sniper rifle and zoom in. You will see some Hybrids guarding the entrance to a building snipe them and the door will open. Now approach the building.
    3. Inside the building are some Menials use your melee attack (Triangle) to get them out of the way.
    4. There will be some Hybrids up on the second level of the building snipe them from the ground floor with your Fareye or run up the ramp and kill them with your M5A2.
    5. With the first building clear you can safely head to the door along the back wall on the first floor. Toggle the switch to open the door.
    6. Here you will come across some more Menials. You know what to do with them right? I'll give you a hint. It starts with Triangle. Continue around the left side of the next building once the Menials are dead.
    7. As the door opens up some Hybrids will emerge kill them with your Fareye sniper then enter the building.
    8. This building not only contains some Menials but laser mines as well. Shoot the laser mines as they pop up. To exit this building there is a door underneath the ramp on the left side. Toggle the switch to open the door and equip your Shotgun.
    9. As you head back outside some Grey Jacks will run at you use your Shotgun like before and you shouldn't have a problem.
    10. Continue along until you come to a narrow bridge. Equip your Fareye and snipe the Hybrids as they try and come across the bridge. Continue across the bridge.
    11. Once on the other side you will meet up with Cartwright. Hide behind some cover while he takes out the Hybrids on the hill.
    12. Equip your M5A2 and head around the fence. Remember to use grenades to flush the Hybrids out if they are behind cover.
    13. Once all the Hybrids are history head up the hill with Cartwright to end the level.

  • Devil At the Door

    1. In this stage you will dropped right into the action.
    2. The first things you will see are some Stalkers in front of you. Ignore them they will retreat without even noticing you.
    3. With the Stalker gone, get to cover behind some sandbags and focus your attack on the Hybrids. If you are smart with your grenades, you may be able to kill all of the Hybrids without firing a shot. Keep your M5A2 handy just in case
    4. Move through the Hybrid position and you will come to a Hedgehog minefield. You need to cross this minefield so be sure to crouch (L2) behind the steel barriers to avoid damage from the Hedgehog mines.
    5. Equip your Shotgun once you are through the minefield. Some Howlers will charge at you kill them with a couple blasts.
    6. Up ahead you will see some Hybrids. Use your grenades to take care of them quickly. Head to the gate.
    7. You'll arrive at the gate just in time to see a Titan knock it down. Use your grenades to weaken it then finish it off with a few Shotgun blasts to the face. Always be mindful of the Titan's cannon and melee attacks avoid those and you will be fine.
    8. Now that the Titan is no longer in the way head on through the gate make your way up the hill. To avoid damage from the Hedgehog mines remember to crouch behind some cover.
    9. Once you are past the Hedgehog mines there will be some radial mines. Crouch (L2) or jump (X) to avoid their blasts.
    10. Now that you are through the minefield, follow the path up the hill you will find some Hybrids and Chimeran Artillery.
    11. Use explosives to take out the artillery then switch to your Fareye sniper to kill rest of the Hybrids.
    12. Head into the hanger to end the level.

  • Evacuation

    1. Enter through the open door.
    2. Inside there will be some Slipskulls. Stay in the doorway and shoot them with your M5A2. If you are having trouble hitting them, switch to your Bullseye and tag them with a tracer round by pressing L1. Then fire away.
    3. With the Slipskulls out of the way you can enter the stairway. As you toss a few grenades down the stairs to kill the Hybrids, they will begin coming up the stairs.
    4. You can use your M5A2 to mop up the remaining Hybrids then go on down to the bottom of the staircase and out into the long hallway.
    5. From the stairs follow the long hallway to the right and around the corner. You will find Leaper eating a British soldier kill the Leapers then head back to the long hallway and follow it around till you come to a room with some beds.
    6. Hybrids will attack you while hiding behind the beds for cover. Toss a few grenades in to distract them then walk in with your M5A2 or Shotgun blazing. Continue through the room.
    7. Follow the halls until you get to the Mess Hall the door will be marked with a large "M".
    8. With your M5A2 equipped head into the Mess Hall and use your grenades to kill the Hybrids on the lower level. Head through the door on the other side of the room.
    9. Follow the hallway around and you will enter a storage room with a lift. Toggle the switch and take the lift down.
    10. As soon as the lift doors open you will have to fight a Titan. Equip your Shotgun and blast away until he explodes.
    11. When the Titan is destroyed seek cover behind some crates. You will see some Hybrids on your left and on your right.
    12. Use a grenade or two to kill the Hybrids on the left and shoot the explosive barrel to kill the Hybrids on the right.
    13. Head along the right side of the room. As you walk around you'll see some Hybrids kill them with grenades and your M5A2.
    14. Once all the Hybrids on the right are dead equip your Fareye sniper and zoom in to the left side of the room. Snipe the Hybrids over there then continue around the right side of the room.
    15. You will come to a large building. Head inside and move to the far end. You will emerge behind the Chimeran sentry gun position.
    16. Kill the Hybrids on the ground with your M5A2 or grenades. Shoot the explosive barrels above the sentry guns to kill the Hybrids manning them.
    17. With the Hybrids all dead the commander will give the "all clear"
    18. Walk over to the giant lift in the corner. Toggle the switch and ride the lift up.
    19. At the top of the lift go through the door and you'll see a large round room with several Hybrids inside. Use grenades and your M5A2 to kill some of the Hybrids while seeking cover in the doorway.
    20. Some Steel heads will enter the room. They are your priority. Equip your Fareye and snipe them before they can do some damage. Switch back to your M5A2 and kill the remaining Hybrids before you head through the door and up the ramp.
    21. As you head up the ramp some Leapers will charge down the ramp at you. Run backwards firing with your M5A2. When the Leapers are dead, head up the ramp.
    22. At the top of the ramp will be a lift. Toggle the switch and take the lift.
    23. Continue through the door into the hallway after you exit the lift. Use some grenades and your Shotgun to destroy the Hybrids.
    24. Go down the hall and follow it until you reach a room with generators.
    25. As you approach the other side of the room Hybrids will run in. Shoot a grenade from your M5A2 to kill them quickly then go out the door.
    26. The next room is a large one with Slipskulls. Zoom in on the map board in the center of the room. The Slipskulls will jump to this spot when they do shoot them with your M5A2.
    27. Once the Slipskulls are dead some Steel heads will come out to play. Use your grenades to take them down without a fight.
    28. Head up the stairs on the other side once the room is clear. As you climb the stairs some Hybrids will come rushing down at you. Use a grenade from your M5A2 to send them flying then climb up the stairs yourself.
    29. At the top of the stairs follow the hallway around and you will come a large medical room. Some Hybrids will enter. Blow them sky high with some grenades then proceed through the room and equip your Shotgun.
    30. Continue to follow the hall and you will come up against a Steel head. Kill him with a few quick blasts from your Shotgun.
    31. Go through the door with the red light to end the level.

  • Parting Ways

    1. In this level you will be in control of a Stalker. The controls are as follows. Use the Left Thumb-stick to move around and the Right Thumb-stick to aim your guns. R1 will fire a Gatling gun while L1 will fire rockets. A few other notes. Your Gatling gun can overheat. Use it sparingly. Like the other Stalkers your weak point is at the rear so never turn you back on the enemy.
    2. You first priority is to destroy the Chimeran cannons. A rocket and some Gatling gun fire should do the trick.
    3. The first two cannons are right outside the base while the other two are further back.
    4. Once the cannons are out of commission focus your attack on the Titans.
    5. Keep firing rockets (L1) and shooting them with your Gatling gun (R1).
    6. Move left to right to avoid the Titans' cannon fire.
    7. Retreat into the base if necessary.
    8. Once the Titans are dead the level will end.

  • Into the Depths

    1. This level takes place in the Chimeran tunnels. Look ahead and you will see two Menials run up and kill them with your melee attack.
    2. Equip your shotgun and look to the left you will see a long tunnel with some Menials coming towards you, go down the tunnel.
    3. As you start down the tunnel some Grey Jacks will come running at you. Kill them with your shotgun and use your melee attack to kill the Menials like always.
    4. Enter the next room and use grenades to destroy the necessary Leaper Pods. As long as you don't get too close the Leapers will stay in their pods. To save grenades, don't go near any unnecessary Leaper Pods.
    5. Continue to the far side of the room and walk up the ramp. Use your M5A2's grenade launcher to destroy the Leaper Pods blocking the entrance to the tunnel
    6. Proceed into the tunnel until you arrive in a room with stalagmites and stalactites. Equip your shotgun and kill the Steel head.
    7. Turn around and fight the Grey Jacks and Menials.
    8. Go on down the tunnel near where you killed the Steel head.
    9. As you continue down the tunnel, you will find some Hybrids. Switch back to your trusty M5A2 and kill the Hybrids.
    10. Keep following the tunnel and you will find a large room with Menials. Kill the Menials with your melee attack or shoot the explosive orbs as they walk by.
    11. Follow the tunnel until you come to a large round room. Equip your shotgun and enter.
    12. Panels filled with enemies will begin ascending from the floor. Watch the panels and either throw a grenade into the loft, or run over and start blasting with your shotguns. If there are any remaining Menials, use your melee attack to finish them off. Once all the panels have come up, the door will open
    13. Go through the door into a large cavern for your first encounter with Rollers. Rollers are similar to Leapers. Instead of leaping, they roll. Rollers can also crawl along the walls and ceilings, while Leapers stay on the ground.
    14. Using the same strategy as with Leapers, run backwards while firing your M5A2.
    15. After the Rollers are dead, go to the far side of the cavern and down the tunnel.
    16. Use grenades to destroy the Leaper Pods in the tunnel before they hatch.
    17. You will eventually come to a very large cavern with large Chimeran pipes. Walk along the first pipe, when you are directly underneath the pipe that crosses overhead equip your Fareye sniper rifle and look at the opposite wall on the far side of the cavern. You will see some Slipskulls jumping around the wall.
    18. Slipskulls move very quickly if they have sufficient room. Be patient and wait for a good shot. While zoomed in, press L1 to slow time for an easier shot. Once all the Slipskulls are dead, go over to the platform and continue up the pipes.
    19. Eventually you will come to a steam lift. Using the steam lift is easy. Simply jump into the steam and hold forward until you feet are back on solid ground. Use this process to cross the steam lifts and continue up the cavern.
    20. About halfway up the cavern you will come to a platform containing a bunch of Menials and some Hybrids. Shoot a few of the explosive orbs and stand back. If you're lucky this will start a chain reaction and kill all the enemies in the room. If your not lucky, equip your M5A2 and get rid of the Hybrids. You can then kill the Menials at your leisure.
    21. Now continue climbing up the cavern via the pipes and steam lifts until you reach the top of the cavern. You can then head into the tunnel.
    22. Continue up the tunnel about halfway up you will see Menials and Steel heads use your grenades to kill the Steel head and your melee to kill the menials. You can then proceed up the tunnel.
    23. At the top of the tunnel you will come to a hallway. Fight through this hallway using your grenades and shotgun. Once you reach the end you will find a lift. Enter the lift to end the level.

  • In a Darker Place

    1. You will begin this level in a room full of Menials. Run up and kill them with your melee attack. Remember to watch your back; Menials can be very sneaky and grab you from behind.
    2. Once all the Menials have been killed, Hybrids will begin coming down the lifts located on the sides of the room. Use grenades to kill them before they even get off the lift.
    3. Find the only lift in the room with a toggle switch. Use it and take the lift up.
    4. You will get off the lift in a large circular room. Circle around and you will come up against some Steel heads. Use your M5A2's grenade launcher to kill them.
    5. Continue to circle around the room and you will find some Leaper Pods and Steel heads. Destroy the Leaper Pods with a grenade then equip your shotgun and rush the Steel heads. Shoot the Steel heads once then move in for the kill with your melee attack.
    6. Now that the room is clear keep circling and you find a door leading into a tunnel. Head on through.
    7. In the tunnel you will find more Leaper Pods. Use a grenade to destroy them before they hatch.
    8. You will emerge from the tunnel in another large circular room. You should spot some Hybrids at the room entrance kill them with your M5A2 then switch to your shotgun.
    9. Circle the room, killing Menials with your melee attack. When the Grey Jacks approach blow them away with your shotgun. Once the room is clear find the door with toggle switches on either side and equip your Rocket Launcher.
    10. Toggle the switches on both sides of the large steel door and it will open revealing a Stalker. Run for cover and get ready to fight.

  • Boss Fight: Stalker #2

    1. You will need to take a slightly different course of action with this Stalker than you did with the first one you faced.
    2. You will not be able to get behind this one so you will have to fight it directly.
    3. Seek cover behind the concrete blocks to avoid the Stalker's Gatling gun fire.
    4. When it moves within range, fire a Rocket at the Stalkers body then retreat back behind another concrete block further away.
    5. Wait for the Stalker to come within range and pop out to fire another Rocket.
    6. Repeat this process until Stalker parts are raining down upon you.
    7. If you run out of Rockets, don't panic. Your M5A2's grenade launcher will make a good enough substitute.
    8. When the Stalker is history, walk over to the room it came from to end the level.

  • A Desperate Gamble

    1. This level has you starting out in a huge building. Leave the room you started in and walk over to the arched opening.
    2. As you approach throw an Air-Fuel grenade in to the opening. This will kill some Rollers and the Steel head following behind.
    3. Now run backwards and fire with your M5A2 to kill the rest of the Rollers. You can then head on through the archway.
    4. As you go through the archway notice the smaller rooms around the perimeter of the large room. Set your sights on the final small room on this side of station. Throw some grenades into the final room to kill the Hybrids waiting to ambush you.
    5. Equip your Fareye sniper rifle and enter the final cleared room. Stay in this room for cover and snipe the Hybrids shooting you from the balcony on the other side of the station. Once the balcony's Hybrids are dead, turn your attention to the other Hybrids attacking you from the ground.
    6. Continue around the station perimeter until you reach some stairs leading to the second level.
    7. Equip your shotgun and walk up the stairs. Throw some grenades into the room at the top. You can then run in with you shotgun and blast any Hybrids that survived your grenade barrage.
    8. Exit this room and continue around the second floor perimeter. You will come up against more rollers along the way. If the Rollers overwhelm you retreat back into one of the smaller rooms and wait for the Rollers to filter through the door thus making them easier to shoot.
    9. Keep walking around the perimeter of the room if you run into any Hard Fangs shoot them quickly and don't allow them to get close enough to use their Arc Charger.
    10. Walk until you pass a clock on your left. Some Hybrids will attack you. You can use your M5A2 or your shotgun depending on the range. Both are very effective.
    11. Continue around the second level perimeter and you will reach the large windows. As you walk by these windows Hybrids manning sentry guns outside will see you and open fire.
    12. Run past the windows to the outside terrace. Equip your Fareye and snipe the Hybrids off the sentry guns then head down the terrace stairs to street level.
    13. Out in the street you will fight some Hybrids use your grenades and M5A2 then head over to the downed British air transport.
    14. As you climb through the downed plain some Rollers will charge at you. Retreat while firing your M5A2.
    15. When the Rollers are gone walk through the transport and over to the large building with very large columns and equip your Fareye.
    16. There will be some Hybrids down the far end. Snipe them then head over to see what they were guarding.
    17. It's a tunnel, head on down.
    18. You will emerge in a building that used to be a hotel. Proceed through the rooms killing Hybrids with grenades as you go. Be careful. These rooms contain large windows, allowing Hybrids to shoot you from another room.
    19. After a few rooms you will come to a large lobby area. In this room there are some Slipskulls and Hybrids. Kill the Slipskulls first then turn your attention to the Hybrids. If you get overwhelmed retreat out of the room and use your Fareye to snipe the remaining Chimera.
    20. Once the lobby is clear walk up the stairs to the second floor. Take a walk through the rooms on the second floor and the level will end.

  • Ice and Iron

    1. This level is a tricky one and may take you a few tries.
    2. Right as you spawn in you will see a makeshift bunker ahead of you run to and hide underneath.
    3. You will then see a Stalker walk into the area. To defeat this Stalker you need to stay hidden deep undercover. Avoid the Stalkers' Gatling gun-fire, as it's devastating to your health.
    4. The key here is patience. Stay hidden until the Stalker becomes distracted and walks away from the bunker you are hiding in. Now is your chance! Pop out of the bunker and take aim at the Stalker's power node with your M5A2. Watch the Stalker when it begins to turn around that's your cue to hide and avoid the rocket barrage.
    5. After the Stalker has launched it's missile barrage it will go back to trying to get with it's Gatling gun. Stay out of the line of fire and wait for the Stalker to walk away. Open fire on its power node. Repeat this tactic until the Stalker explodes.
    6. Once the Stalker is dead a Titan will walk in. Equip your Auger and blast him. Watch out for his melee swipes and cannon fire.
    7. Now that you've taken care of that Titan your British buddies will drop in a tank for you to drive.
    8. Hop in the tank and drive up the road. A Widowmaker will confront you. Widow makers are large Chimeran spiders that spit acid. Good thing you have a tank right? To kill the Widow maker, aim your tanks main gun at the Widow maker's body. A couple good blasts and the Widow maker shall be no more.
    9. Continue up the road and some Stalkers will approach you. Fighting a Stalker with a tank is a little different. DO NOT try and shoot the Stalkers body with your main gun, you will miss. Instead aim for the Stalker's legs not only will you cause the Stalker to reposition itself but two or three good hits and the Stalker will be blown to bits.
    10. Your biggest worry while in the tank is avoiding the Stalker's rockets. If you can hide around a corner then ambush the Stalker as it walks by you will have an easier time and sustain less damage.
    11. With the first group of Stalkers gone keep following the road until you get a large open square. Kill the Hybrids that have dug in, and contend with several Stalkers. Use your main gun to blow the Hybrid position sky high and the strategy discussed in step #9 to kill the stalkers.
    12. When all the enemies in the square are dead you will a gate open up. Wait! Don't go rushing through just yet. As the gate opens some more Stalker will be crawling down the road at you. Position your tank just around the corner in front of the gate and wait. When the Stalkers' legs come in into view blast away and they'll be history in no time.
    13. Now you can go through the gate and head up the road. Along the road you'll encounter more Hybrids, Stalkers and a Widow maker or two. Use the main gun to kill the Hybrids and the strategies discussed previously to kill the Widow makers and Stalkers.
    14. Eventually you will come to a bridge with a Titan on it. Drive on to the bridge and exit the tank. Equip your Auger and use it to kill the Titan. Once the Titan is no more, equip your M5A2 and kill the remaining Hybrids in the area.
    15. Leave your tank behind and walk up the road. You will find a building with an open door. Head inside and go up the stairs to the second floor.
    16. Once you get up to the second floor there will be an explosion. This means that Hybrids have entered the building.
    17. The Hybrids will come down the stairs from the third floor. Throw a few grenades into the stairway to kill the Hybrids.
    18. Once the second floor is clear equip your shotgun and head up the stairs to the third floor. There will be a few more Hybrids up here kill them with your Shotgun and the level will end.

  • Burning Bridges

    1. This level begins with you and some British soldiers already in a fight with some Hybrids.
    2. Run straight ahead and kill the two Hybrids in front of you.
    3. Now find the broken building to your right and head inside. If you climb to the second floor, there are some British troops, and an ammo and health cache. Equip your Rocket launcher and get ready for the incoming Stalker.
    4. The Stalker will come in with a few Hybrids. It's your job to destroy the Stalker with your Rocket launcher.
    5. Take cover in the building and wait for your moment. Preferably one when the Stalker is distracted and facing away from you. Then pop out and hit him with your Rocket launcher.
    6. Once the first Stalker is destroyed a second will come in with more Hybrids. Run over to the building across the street and head up to the second floor. Here you will find more British troops and another ammo and health cache. Refill your Rocket launcher and wait for the second stalker to turn away from you then like before pop out and fire.
    7. With the Stalkers destroyed a Widow maker enter from a side street. Refill your rockets and then fire at the Widow maker. Be sure to watch out for the acid bubbles the Widow maker will spit, they pack a wallop.
    8. Once the Widow maker is destroyed a cut scene will play showing the destruction of Tower Bridge.
    9. When you resume control, go straight and take your first right. Enter the broken building and take the stairs up to the second floor.
    10. You can then jump from the second floor to the roof of the building across the street. Walk along the rooftops jumping to the next building as you go.
    11. On about the second roof top some Hybrids and Leapers will confront you. You can use you shotgun to kill everybody or use your M5A2 to kill the Leapers and grenades to take out the Hybrids.
    12. Continue along the roof tops until you reach the last house then jump back down to street level. There will be some Steel heads on this street kill them with your M5A2.
    13. You will see an archway up the street go through and take a left through the park. Use your shotgun and grenades to destroy the Hybrids and a Hard Fang in the park.
    14. Keep your shotgun equipped and head down the alley on the other side of the park. Some Leapers and a Grey Jack will rush you. Neither Leapers nor a Grey jack are a match for you mighty shotgun.
    15. Continue on down the alley and you will see some metal stairs. Go up them, you will be on another rooftop.
    16. Run for cover behind a chimney and equip your Fareye sniper rifle. Use it to snipe all the Hybrids from the rooftop. Once it's clear, walk along the rooftops to the opposite side. Cross to the next building using the steel vent. Cross the vent and enter the building.
    17. Head out of the building, down the stairs and back into the street.
    18. Look across the street and you will see some Hybrids emerge from the subway. Throw a grenade to kill them then head down into the subway tunnel.

  • On the Ice

    1. When this level starts equip your Fareye sniper rifle. Walk down the tunnel a little bit and you'll see a room full of Hybrid. Use your sniper to kill them. If any of them won't their cover toss a Hedgehog grenade or two to flush them out into the open.
    2. Enter the room once the Hybrids are gone. There is a small room just to your left toss an Air-Fuel grenade to clear out the Leaper pods so they don't bother you.
    3. As you go further into the room some Hybrids may come up the stairs if they do equip your shotgun and show why that was a bad idea.
    4. Next go down the stairs and you will be in a large room with subway platforms and a train. Throw some grenades to across the tracks to kill the Hybrids on the opposite platform. Switch to your M5A2.
    5. Cross the tracks to the other platform and kill any remaining Hybrids then head up the stairs. Follow the catwalk around until you get to another room with platforms and trains.
    6. This room contains Hybrids and Slipskulls. Use your Bullseye to tag and kill the Slipskulls before going down into the room. Just like the room before toss some grenades across the tracks to kill the Hybrids on the opposite platform.
    7. Now enter the subway train and move through the cars until you come to an open door on your right.
    8. Go through the door on your right then crouch to get under the subway cars. Enter the door on the other side.
    9. Continue to the end of the train and equip your shotgun. There will be an exit on your left.
    10. Run through and attack the Steel heads with your shotgun. You can also use your melee attack when you get close enough. Go through the little hole and you will be outside.
    11. Once you're outside equip your M5A2 and walk along the ice. Hug the left wall. You hear sentry gunfire overhead. Ignore it and stay glued to the left wall. Some Hybrids will drop down. Kill them with your M5A2 using your grenade launcher if you have to. Make sure you do not leave the left wall.
    12. Walk up the snow ramp on the left wall and head under the bridge. Go around the corner and walk a bit more and you should emerge behind the Chimeran sentry gun position. Use your M5A2 to dispatch the Hybrids then follow the path around past the first flaming Spire.
    13. Walk under the bridge again and you'll find some Menials on the ice. Kill them with your melee attack.
    14. Keep walking until you pass the third flaming spire and you will see a hole in the wall.
    15. Move over to the hole and the level will end.

  • Giant Slayer

    1. In this level you will be reunited with Cartwright and your trusty jeep.
    2. You will start in a large open area with a Stalker.
    3. What you need to do is drive in large open circle around the Stalker avoid it's fire. Really the only gold is stay alive long enough for Cartwright to take down the Stalker.
    4. Once the Stalker is destroyed some Hybrids will start charging out a large door. Run them down with the jeep or allow Cartwright some time to kill them with the jeeps turret.
    5. When the Hybrids are all dead drive over to the door and hop out of the jeep. You can now head in the door the Hybrids were coming out of.
    6. Continue along the hallway and you will come to a large room with concrete blocks. Equip your M5A2 and stay behind the concrete blocks to avoid the enemy fire. There will be some Hybrids and Steel heads in this room. Use your M5A2's grenade launcher to get them out of your way.
    7. Walk through the room and you will come to a Stalker. The good news is you get to drive the Stalker the bad news is you have to use it to fight a Goliath.
    8. Think of a Goliath as a "super Stalker". It's big and powerful, but very slow.
    9. What you need to do is circle around the Goliath with the Stalker constantly firing rockets by pressing L1. It's also a good idea to keep your turret firing as well. Just remember that the turret will overheat from use so don't get caught defenseless.
    10. The key to surviving the Goliath battle is to avoid its missile barrages at all costs. You can use the large rock formations here for cover but you will be unable to fire upon the Goliath if you do. So keep firing rockets and the Goliath will fall.
    11. Once the Goliath is destroyed be aware of the incoming Stalkers. These shouldn't take much to destroy, just keep firing rockets. You will have an easier time if you manage to get behind the Stalkers and fire your turret at their power node. If you can't get behind them just keep firing rocket until they're history.
    12. With the first two Stalkers destroyed head through the gate they came through and you will enter a large open area with British troops fighting the Chimera.
    13. There will be some Stalkers here as well use the same technique as the first two and they'll be debris in no time. You can then turn your turret on the Hybrids. Once they are all dead head over to the large open metal door, exit your Stalker and head inside.

  • Boss Fight: Widow maker

    1. As you enter the room a Widow maker will burst through the wall.
    2. Quickly equip your Rocket launcher and fire all you have.
    3. Be very careful though. Remember Widowmakers spit acid bubbles at you. Even if they miss keep in mind that they explode.
    4. Avoid the acid splash by retreating to another section of the room.
    5. When you run out of rockets switch to your M5A2 and use the Grenade launcher.
    6. If the Widow maker still isn't dead keep firing with your M5A2 while avoid the acid bubbles.
    7. After the initial explosive barrage you unleashed it shouldn't take more than a few shot to bring the Widow maker down.

  • Angel's Lair

    1. You will start this level on a lift heading down when the lift stops get off and walk forward and follow the hallway.
    2. You will come to a tube and pick up the Bullseye Mark II go through the tube and an Angel will appear and scream at you then fly away. Head on through and drop down into the room.
    3. Equip your Rocket launcher and head up the ramp on your right. Advanced Hybrids charge as you approach the top of the ramp. Fire a rocket into the pack and kill them all at once. You may need to fire more than one to get them all.
    4. Once you get to the top of the ramp there will be a toggle switch. Use the switch to open the door and head out onto the bridge.
    5. When you walk on to the bridge an Angel will attack you. Angels have two attacks. First it will throw some easily dodged spikes. The other attack is a cloud of toxic vapor stay away from this because it drains your health.
    6. To defeat the Angle avoiding its attacks and wait for it to get close. When it closes in on your tag, take aim with your Mark II and fire. Repeat until the Angel explodes.
    7. When the Angle is dead the door on the other side of the bridge will open and a swarm of Menials will come at you. Equip your Rocket launcher and kill them all at once. Then move on through the room and head right follow that path down.
    8. Along the path you will encounter some Hybrids guarding a lift. Kill them with your Mark II then proceed to the lift and take it up.
    9. When you get off the lift, equip your shotgun and take the tunnel to the right. You will run into some Hybrids in there tunnel introduce the first two to your shotgun then quickly turn around and kill the Hybrid coming up behind you.
    10. Equip your Fareye at the end of the tunnel and snipe the Hybrid in the room from the tunnel. Then enter the room.
    11. There will be Slipskulls in this room. Avoid their Reaper fire and tag them with your Mark II then blast away.
    12. Once the Slipskulls are dead, follow the ramp on your right. Some Menials will come out of a tunnel. Kill them with your melee attack then go through the tunnel they just came out of.
    13. Follow the tunnel and you will emerge in a room just like the previous one. Equip your Fareye and snipe the Hybrids then move into the room. There will two ramps like before.
    14. At the top of each ramp will be a Steel head use your Fareye to snipe them then go up the ramp on your left and take the tunnel at the top.
    15. Follow the tunnel along and it will end in another lift room. Step onto the lift, toggle the switch and ride the lift up.
    16. Go through the door at the top of the lift and enter the narrow hallway.
    17. There will be a door on your right go through and you will be in a room with cocoons moving about. Ignore them and head in the door on the left to enter the other side of the narrow hallway.
    18. The Hallway will open up into a large brightly lit room containing some Slipskulls. #Use your Mark II to tag and kill the Slipskulls then continue into the next narrow hallway.
    19. Head through the door and you will be in another cocoon room there is vent allowing you to cross to the other platform.
    20. Cross the vent. Some Advanced Hybrids attack. Use your Mark II and grenades to kill them as they come out the door. Continue on through the door the Hybrids came out of and follow the narrow hallway.
    21. You will emerge in another large brightly lit room. This one you can just pass on through to the narrow hallway on the other side.
    22. Exit the narrow hallway and via the doorway on your left and you will be in another cocoon room with some Steel heads.
    23. Use you Mark II or M5A2 to kill the Steel heads and enter the hallway via the door on your right. Walk down the narrow hall again and you will come to a round tube.
    24. Walk up the tube and about halfway up you'll run into some Slipskulls bouncing around the tube. Equip your shotguns and make the little guys stop moving... permanently.
    25. At the end of the tube will be a lift. Toggle the switch; ride the lift up and the level ends.

  • Last Hope

    1. Walk off the lift and take the tunnel in front of you.
    2. You will emerge in a large room and Leapers will begin charging at you. Use your Mark II to kill running backwards and firing if necessary.
    3. Walk over to the next portion of the room and two doors will open revealing a Widow maker.
    4. Equip your Rocket launcher and fire a few at the Widow maker. If you run out of rockets switch to your Mark II tag it and fire until it dies. Remember to avoid the acid spit as much as possible.
    5. Once the Widow maker is destroyed head on over to the room it emerged from and you will encounter some Hybrids.
    6. Equip your Mark II and use some grenades to kill the Hybrids. When the Hybrids are toast you will see another tunnel. Go ahead and take it.
    7. When you enter the tunnel equip your shotgun. Just inside some Leapers will drop down kill them with your shotgun. Continue down the tunnel and you will come to a large piece of conduit.
    8. Equip your Fareye and zoom in at the top of the conduit. You will see some Hybrids snipe them and walk up the conduit.
    9. About halfway up the conduit you'll encounter some Steel heads. Snipe them and then walk along the conduit over to the platform where the Steel heads were.
    10. Once you're on the platform you will see another piece of conduit leading to another platform. Zoom in with your Fareye and snipe the Steel heads up there and then continue along the conduit.
    11. Go through an aperture door and emerge in a large open-air room. Watch the Angel destroy the British transport then equip your Mark II but be ready to switch back to your Fareye.
    12. The Angel will then swoop down and attack you. As you are fighting the Angel some Hybrids will appear on the catwalks above you. Switch to your Fareye and snipe them then switch back to your Mark II and continue fighting the Angel. Eventually another Angel will join the fight. Angels aren't very difficult so just concentrate on one at a time and make sure to avoid the toxic vapor.
    13. Once the Angels have been destroyed some British troops will join you. There is a door on the far side of the room. Go up the ramp through the door and enter the tunnel.
    14. In this tunnel some Leapers will drop in. Kill them with your Mark II retreating if necessary. A bit further along you will run into some Slipskulls kill them with your Mark II or switch to your shot gun and paint the tunnel with them.
    15. Keep going along the tunnel and it will end in a lift room. Hop on the lift and ride it up. Once you get to the top stock up on ammo and head through the tunnel.

  • Boss Fight: Reactor Core

    1. Your objective here is to destroy the glowing core in the center of the room and stay alive of course.
    2. Your first objective is to deactivate the shields protecting the core so you can get a shot at it.
    3. To do this you need to get to the core's control platform.
    4. Fight your way around the room using any weapons you like. The Mark II and Fareye are very effective but don't be afraid to use your shotgun if things get a little up close and personal.
    5. To get to the control platform you will need to fight a lot of Hybrids. Use grenades and your Mark II to get them out of the way.
    6. Once you reach the control platform there will be some Steel heads guarding it. This is where the Fareye comes in.
    7. Use the Fareye to snipe the Steel heads.
    8. You can now head up to the control platform. Once there you will find a toggle switch hit it and the core's shields will start to come down one at a time.
    9. What you need to do now is fight your way around the room.
    10. Ignore the Angels their attacks are easy enough to avoid.
    11. Once you find a piece of core with no shield you have two options. Option one: Equip your Fareye, zoom in and shoot the exposed piece of core. It may take a few shots but you can't beat the accuracy of the Fareye. Option two: Instead of the Fareye equip your Rocket launcher instead and fire at the exposed piece of core.
    12. What you sacrifice in accuracy you make up for in boom.
    13. All you need to do is stay alive and wait for the other shields to come down.
    14. There are about 5 or 6.
    15. Once they are all destroyed and you are still alive the tower will begin to come down around you.
    16. Congratulations! You have just completed Resistance: Fall of Man

  • Campaign: Manchester

  • Path of Least Resistance

    1. Run across the street and engage the Hybrids.
    2. Crouch behind cover by pressing L2.
    3. NOTE: Standing behind cover will not be sufficient. Your goal is to push the Hybrids back as you and your squad of troops advance. If you remain in cover too long, the Hybrids will attack. Continue to pop out with your M5A2 to take a few shots at the Hybrids.
    4. Once across the street, locate the Hybrids dug in around the buildings. Use grenades to flush them out and aim for their heads with your M5A2.
    5. Proceed through the buildings until you come to a barricade. Use your M5A2 to zoom in a take out the Hybrids on the other side of the barricade.
    6. Proceed to the right around the barricade.
    7. Emerge on a second street under Leaper attack. Keep your distance by retreating into the building. Keep firing until all of the Leapers are eliminated.
    8. Focus your attack back on the Hybrids. Use the same strategy as the prior street, but sweep from left to right.
    9. Follow the street past another barricade until you get to the bus.
    10. Kill the Hybrids at the bus with your Shotgun or M5A2 and continue forward.
    11. The street curves to the right. Leapers will stream up the hill towards your position. Keep your distance and shoot them with your M5A2 until they are all dead.
    12. Follow the road until you reach another barricade.
    13. Kill the Hybrids with your Shotgun or M5A2. This is also a good spot to start saving grenades for the final sentry gun.
    14. Follow the road and until you reach a bridge with a cathedral in the distance. Cross the bridge carefully.
    15. On the other side of the bridge, kill the two Hybrids running for the sentry gun emplacement. If they reach the emplacement, retreat behind any cover that is not a car, shooting an M5A2 grenade directly at him or tossing a Hedgehog grenade past him.
    16. Equip your Shotgun and walk to the cathedral.
    17. A Howler climbs the fence.
    18. Blast the Howler with your Shotgun while avoiding its claw swipes.
    19. Whew! Walk to the cathedral and the level is done.

  • The Cathedral

    1. Start inside the cathedral with Leapers streaming down at you. Equip your M5A2 and begin firing while running backwards.
    2. Turn your attention to the door on the far side of the cathedral. It will be blown open by a Steel head armed with an Auger. Don't bother running for cover since Auger fire goes right through it. Strafing left to right while shooting the Steel head works nicely.
    3. Once the Steel head is dead, take his Auger and go through the door.
    4. Locate the Hybrids and Howler on the side of the cathedral, you will find some Hybrids and a Howler. Use your Auger to take them all out.
    5. Head out of the cathedral. Use your M5A2 to kill the Hybrids held up in the building across the way from a distance. Go on into the building.
    6. Walk through the bottom floor of the building. Exit and join the British troops outside.
    7. Take the stairs down and to the right. As you turn right, kill the Hybrids and then the Leapers that are coming your way.
    8. Proceed through the tunnel. Use a few grenades to kill the Hybrids that jump out.
    9. Turn left and run into a Steel head with an Auger. Don't run for cover. Use the strafing technique to eliminate the Steel head.
