Resistance 2 Campaign Story

Resistance 2 takes place in an alternate history 1953, in which an alien race called the Chimera are attempting to destroy the human race by infecting them with a lethal virus. At the outset of the game, the Chimera have suffered setbacks after the events of Fall of Man and are preparing for a large-scale attack. To prepare, most of the human population has migrated from the coastal areas of the United States into the center of the country.
Nathan Hale, who at the end of Fall of Man was stranded in Iceland, finds himself joining the SRPA, an elite group of infected super-soldiers who are dedicated to preventing the Chimera from carrying out their plans.
