In Resistance 2, the world is being invaded by Chimerans, a mysterious enemy who have already overwhelmed the continent of Eurasia and are now turning their sights on America.

Enemies in Resistance 2 are called Chimera and there are over a dozen different types. These include new varieties, as well as gargantuan bosses like Leviathan, who towers over 300 feet tall. The different multiplayer modes, in which several players require entertainment at the same time, called for a more constant onslaught of enemies. For this reason, the game now supports more enemies onscreen at once and the engine is capable of throwing wave after wave into the fray. What are Chimera?

Chimera are a mysterious race whose seemingly endless numbers are in part fueled by the very enemies they face.
