- Chris Redfield: One of the founding members of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA). He's a good shot and he's proficient with hand-to-hand combat.
- Sheva Alomar: A BSAA agent from West Africa assigned to accompany Chris. She's good with guns and can do some physical moves Chris can't.
- Excella Gionne: One of the youngest CEOs, currently in control of the African Division of the Tricell Corporation.
