  • About the Game

Resident Evil 5 is set 10 years after the events of Resident Evil 4. Chris Redfield, the game's main character, has left the S.T.A.R.S. team and has joined the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, or B.S.A.A., which concerns itself with stopping the use of biological weapons. Accompanied by Sheva Alomar, an expert in biochemical weaponry, Chris travels to Africa to investigate reports of an infection in Kijuju.

The introduction of Sheva to the story adds a new gameplay element to the Resident Evil series. During single-player games, Sheva is controlled by the game's AI. She provides cover fire, and also heals or revives Chris in the event of mishaps. In two-player co-op mode, the second player can take the reigns and play as Sheva, either online or offline.IGN: Resident Evil 5 Review (March 6, 2009)
