This page provides information about the achievements available in Resident Evil 5, the survival-horror third-person shooter developed by Capcom for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Out of the box, Resident Evil 5 comes with 50 achievements worth 1000 gamerscore points. These achievements are gotten by playing through the main campaign, finding and collecting hidden items, upgrading the game's weapons, and performing specific acts during specific chapters.

Downloadable content for Resident Evil 5 is also available, with each pack offering new sets of achievements. The first DLC, the Versus Mode pack, comes with 10 achievements for a total of 200 gamerscore points.

The second DLC, Lost in Nightmares, features a mini campaign that expands upon the history of Jill and Chris as they explored the Spencer Estate in search of Albert Wesker. There are five achievements to be obtained in this DLC for a total of 100 gamerscore points.

The third and final DLC, Desperate Escape, is another mini campaign that fills in some of the gaps of the main story of Resident Evil 5, following Jill Valentine and Josh Stone as they attempt to escape from the stronghold at the end of the game. There are five achievements to be obtained for a total of 100 gamerscore points.

In total, Resident Evil 5 offers 1400 gamerpoints with 70 achievements.

Resident Evil 5 takes places about ten years after the events of Resident Evil 4, and the story reveals what occurred in Chris Redfield's life during that time. The game uses the same over-the-shoulder point of view as RE4, although there are a few new gameplay features that make the game unique in the series. For the first time, players run through the game with an AI-controlled sidekick, Sheva Alomar. During multiplayer co-op, the second player takes control of Sheva.

RE5 runs at 60 frames per second, twice the framerate of RE4. The graphics engine allows for some stunning visuals and high polygon counts throughout the game, particularly during cinematics, which were all motion captured. Additionally, the physics engine in the game allows Chris and Sheva to interact realistically with the environment.

31. Go into the Light - Defeat 2 enemies with one flash grenade.

32. Ride the Lightning - Defeat a Majini using the electric current from a transformer.

33. Stop, Drop, & Roll - Defeat 3 Majini at once by setting oil canisters on fire.

34. Baptism by Fire - Defeat 3 Majini at once with a drum or gas tank explosion.

35. Masters of Removing - Work together to save someone special.

36. Egg on Your Face - Defeat a Majini with a rotten egg.

37. Heart Stopper - Defeat a certain enemy by stabbing it in the heart.

38. Veteran - Complete all chapters on Veteran.

39. All Dressed Up - Purchase all available alternative costumes in Bonus Features.

40. Stockpile - Obtain all available weapons.

41. Take It to the Max - Completely upgrade all weapons.

42. They Belong in a Museum - Obtain all treasures in the game.

43. Badge of Honor - Find all the BSAA emblems.

44. They're ACTION Figures! - Collect all the figurines.

45. Lead Aspirin - Defeat a Majini with a headshot while it's jumping.

46. Be the Knife - Deflect a bow gun arrow with your knife.

47. Drive By - Stop an armored truck by taking out the driver.

48. Who Do You Trust? - Build up a certain level of trust with your partner.

49. Bad Blood - During the first fight with Wesker, damage him a set number of times.

50. War Hero - Complete all chapters on Professional.
