Just like the original, Resident Evil 2 uses a fixed camera system with characters navigating through pre-rendered backgrounds. Players must solve puzzles and battle their way through various locations in order to progress through the game and uncover the mystery behind Umbrella’s involvement in the Raccoon City disaster.
Plot
The story takes place approximately two months after the original mansion incident with Leon Kennedy, a rookie police officer working his first day on the job, and Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield’s younger sister, featured as the game’s main protagonists. After realizing that the city has been overtaken by zombies, the two join forces to investigate the situation and figure out a way to leave the city safely.
