Released in 1992 as filmmaker Quentin Tarantino's directing debut, Reservoir Dogs is a gangster film about seven criminals who attempt to rob a jewelry store together.
Plot Summary
Each of the six gangsters takes a code name based on a color: Mr. White (Harvey Keitel), Mr. Orange (Tim Roth), Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen), Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi), Mr. Blue (Edward Bunker) and Mr. Brown (Quentin Tarantino). As has become one of Tarantino's staple techniques, the film progresses nonlinearly, where we see the events before and after the failed robbery, but not actually during. Most of the film takes place after the robbery at the gangsters' rendezvous point in a warehouse, where they argue over who ratted them out, and how to further proceed with the situation.
