Career
Renée Fleming began her career in 1988 when she starred in a performance of The Marriage of Figaro in Houston, Texas. She went on to command the stage at The New York City Opera. She became a mainstay at the Metropolitan Opera in 1997.Besides her operatic work she has also recorded songs for several other artists and films such as Lord of the Rings.
