  • Remy Ma is a rapper/songwriter from the Bronx, New York. Remy Ma, (aka, Remy Martin) was a member of the group Terror Squad until April of 2007. She is one of only three female rappers in history to have a number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with Terror Squad's number one single "Lean Back".

    In July of 2007 Remy Ma turned herself in to the New York City police for the alleged shooting of her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph at a Manhattan nightclub. On March 27, 2008, Ma was convicted of two charges of assault and sentences to eight years in prison on May 13, 2008.
