Bill Maher stars in the 2008 documentary Religulous. The title of the film is a combination of the words religion and ridiculous. The documentary is meant as a polemic against the supposed contradictions within organized religion and the beliefs among fundamentalist followers.
Plot Synopsis
In the film, Maher will visit places such as The Vatican and many other highly religious places and interview the people who inhabit these areas. The documentary was originally scheduled for a July 2008 release, but was instead released on October 3.
