Reign Over Me is a drama about a successful but empty man (Don Cheadle) who attempts to rekindle a friendship with an old college roommate (Adam Sandler) who has closed himself off from the world after losing his wife and daughters in the 9-11 terrorist attacks. Written and directed by Mike Binder (who also has a brief cameo appearance), the film received praise for the performances of Sandler and Cheadle, the film as a whole received mixed reviews and was a commercial disappointment.
