Reid Hoffman

Reid Hoffman, born in 1943, is founder of LinkedIn, an online social networking site that targets both job-seeking and working professionals. Hoffman is also a director at a variety of other social networking sites, like Mozilla, Vendio, Six Apart, Kiva.org, Grassroots Enterprises and Tagged. He's also an investor in Facebook, IronPort, Flickr, Digg, Technorati, Nanosolar and Care.com.

Aside from being the Chairman and President at LinkedIn, Hoffman co-founded his first company, SocialNet.com. He's also aided other Web 2.0 CEOs and given his advice to the United States military, which earned him a Department of Defense coin for his service.
