  • Major League Baseball outfielder Reggie Willits currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

    Prior to his MLB career, Willits played at the University of Oklahoma. He was then drafted on June 3, 2003 by the then named Anaheim Angels in the seventh round of the MLB Draft. Willits was immediately placed with the Angels' minor league affiliates for his first few seasons.

    On April 26, 2006, Willits was called up to make his MLB debut with the Angels. He played 28 games that season in the majors, hitting 12 runs in 45 attempts at bat.

    Willits earned a full roster spot with the Angels in 2007, playing in 136 regular season games. He finished the season with a .293 batting average after hitting 74 runs. He was also fifth in voting for the MLB Rookie of the Year Award. Willits made his first post season appearance in 2007 as well, playing in the American League Divisional Series, which the Angels lost to the eventual World Series Champion Boston Red Sox].
