Football Career
A standout in Chattanooga, Tennessee area high school, White was scouted by the University of Tennessee. As a Volunteer, White racked up the most sacks in a single game, season, and career. Records that have yet to be broken. White was also named an All-American during his years at Tennessee. In 1984 White decided to play for the Memphis Showboats of the USFL. He played there for two season accumulating 23.5 sacks, 192 tackles. As a result of the collapse of the USFL, White was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played for eight seasons. Under scrutiny, White left the Eagles for the Green Bay Packers in what was viewed as a ploy to get more money. He stayed in Green Bay for six season, winning a Super Bowl with the organization in 1997. In 2000, White went on to play his last season for the Carolina Panthers. In total, White racked up 198 sacks, and 1,112 tackles. -
