NBA Career
Reggie Theus was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1978 and was runner up for NBA Rookie of the Year. While with the Bulls, Theus made the NBA All-Star team twice, in 1981 and 1983. He was traded to the Sacramento Kings and finished his NBA career in 1991 with a total of 19,015 points and 6,453 assists.
Theus' first coaching gig came in 2005 at New Mexico State University, where he led the men's basketball team to an NCAA Tournament berth. Theus was then hired as head coach of the Sacramento Kings on June 19, 2007. In his first season as coach, the Kings finished with a record of 38-44.NBA.com: Reggie Theus
