• Red Vines: In the Beginning

  When Red Vines were first introduced in 1952, they came in only in raspberry flavor. The formula was altered into the Original Red version. Red Vines are often compared to Twizzlers, however, the two candies are very different. Red Vines are thicker and chewier with a sweeter taste. Red Vines also more closely resemble real licorice than Twizzlers.
