Red Sonja

Red Sonja is a red-haired female warrior created by comic writer Roy Thomas in the 23rd volume of his graphic novel Conan the Barbarian. After her creation, Red Sonja was often a part of Conan's adventures and eventually had a graphic novel of her own, called Red Sonja.ComicVine: Red Sonja

At 17, Red Sonja lost her family to a pack of thieves. They killed her parents and her two brothers and took all that they owned. A goddess, Scathach, granted Red Sonja powerful sword and weaponry skills to seek out her revenge. Red Sonja was originally illustrated with a chain mail shirt and red shorts. A Spanish artist, named Esteban Maroto, submitted a drawing of Red Sonja that inspired her current outfit.
