About the Game
In Red Faction Guerrilla, the Earth Defense Force, former saviors of Mars, have begun to exploit the planet's resources and become tyrannical. The colonists, stripped of their rights and fed up with the situation, have no choice but to revolt. The goal of the game is to eliminate EDF control in the several different sectors of the planet. To do this, the player can complete missions, perform guerrilla actions or destroy EDF targets like bases and mines.
In addition to the game's non-linear single-player campaign, Red Faction Guerrilla features an extensive multiplayer mode that supports up to 16 players and offers a number of different gameplay modes. Anarchy and Team Anarchy are the equivalent of other games' deathmatch and team deathmatch modes. The destructible envirionments add a whole new dimension to the standard Capture the Flag game. Damage Control requires that players destroy and repair the three control points in each level. In Demolition, each team has a Destroyer character whose job it is to destroy the other team's base. The other team members must try to keep their Destroyer safe as he carries out his mission. Siege Mode is an attack and defend mode in which the goal is to cause the most destruction or capture a base the quickest.GameSpot: Red Faction: Guerrilla Multiplayer Interview (Time: 4:48)
