About the Game
Red Faction Guerrilla takes place about 50 years after the events of the first game. The Ultor Corporation on Mars has been defeated by the Earth Defense Force's Red Faction unit, who set up command bases across the planet. The inhabitants now resent the presence of the EDF and have expressed themselves with work strikes and protests. The EDF has responded by imposing a curfew and carrying out mass arrests. A small group of guerrillas, calling themselves the Red Faction, has formed to put a stop to the EDF.Official Site: Red Faction: GuerrillaRed Faction Guerrilla has both an extensive single-player campaign and a robust multiplayer mode. Developer Volition wanted to emphasize the destruction system in the game, in addition to the open world gameplay.
There are a few unique items that add to the multiplayer experience. The Rhino pack lets players charge through a building and the Thrust pack is a kind of jet pack that lets players fly for a short time. There are a variety of backpacks, each with a different recharge rate and other stats. Volition worked hard to balance the packs so that one single type did not dominate the gameplay.
