About the Story
Red Faction: Guerrilla takes place approximately 50 years after the events in the original Red Faction title. In Guerrilla, the Earth Defense Force is the main enemy of the player character, as opposed to the first title in which the EDF was primarily a force for good.The story of Guerrilla tells of forced labor camps created by the EDF, which use anyone they can find as slaves for their cause.
The player controls Alec Mason, a miner who has seen enough and decides to fight the system and put an end to the slavery.IGN: Red Faction: Guerrilla
Guerrilla Gameplay
In direct contrast for the first two games in the Red Faction series which were presented in first-person, Guerrilla is a third-person shooter. The style of Guerrilla is much like Grand Theft Auto 4 in that it is entirely open-world. However, the game takes place on Mars, as opposed to earth.Guerrilla will feature highly-destructible environments that can be torn apart in a number of different ways.
