Red Dwarf was a Science Fiction comedy series that originally aired on BBC television between 1988 and 1999. Although it achieved a good deal of success during its initial run, it has since gone on to develop a rabid cult following for its unique brand of Sci-Fi parody and inventive humor.

Plot
The show centers around Dave Lister, a technician aboard the Jupiter Mining ship Red Dwarf. After being put in suspended animation (as punishment for bringing his cat aboard the ship), an on-board radiation leak kills the entire crew of the ship, leaving him alive. After a three-million year wait for the radiation to die down, the ship's computer lets Dave out of suspended animation. Upon his release, Lister finds out that his only companions are Holly (the ship's computer) Arnold Rimmer (a hologram of his old bunkmate) and a life form that evolved from his cat. Subsequent episodes see the arrival of a mechanoid cleaning unit known as Kryten. -
