The Real World Awards Bash was held on March 15, 2008, and featured 85 cast members from all 19 seasons of the MTV reality show The Real World. Fans of the show voted online in 13 categories, including "Best Fight", "Hottest Female", "Best Brush With the Law", "Biggest Playa" and "Roommate You Love to Hate". The show was taped for broadcast on April 2, 2008.
In addition, posthumous awards were given to former cast members Pedro Zamora and Frankie Abernathy. Zamora died in 1994 after a long battle with AIDS, while Abernathy passed away from complications of cystic fibrosis in 2007.
