Razzies 2009

The 2009 Golden Raspberry Awards show took place at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood on February 21, 2009. The awards were given to the worst actors and films from the previous year. The movies are voted on by members of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation, which was created by John Wilson in 1980.

Mike Myers' comedy film, The Love Guru leads the nominations with a total of seven, including a Worst Actor nod for Myers himself. Disaster Movie runs a close second, with six nominations of its own. It is ranked as number two of the top 100 worst movies by IMDb. Meet the Spartans and Disaster Movie both received a 98% negative rating from the Rotten Tomatoes review site.Official Site: Razzies

Paris Hilton was not too far behind, with nominations for the Worst Actress for The Hottie and the Nottie, Worst Supporting Actress for Repo: The Genetic Opera and as part of the Worst Screen Couple with either Christin Lakin or Joel David Moorein in The Hottie and the Nottie.

Disaster Movie and Meet the Spartans enjoy the dubious distinction of being the two Worst Movie nominees in the same year and from the same writers and directors.
