British child predator Raymond Hewlett has been a lingering suspect in connection with the disappearance of toddler Madeleine McCann, who vanished while vacationing with her family in Portugal in May 2007.
In May 2009, the 64-year-old Hewlett was hospitalized in Germany for throat cancer.
