A Television Mainstay
From his debut on The Bigelow Theatre in 1950, through 271 episodes of Perry Mason, 195 episodes of Ironsides, and up to his last role in a Perry Mason made-for-television movie in 1993, Raymond Burr appeared on television over a thousand times on nearly 75 different programs. Even notwithstanding his film roles in such movies as Rear Window and the Americanized re-edit of Gojira, he was a highly recognizable star. -
