  • Ray Romano is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He was born on December 21, 1957 in Queens, New York. He is of Italian decent. Romano attended Queens College in Flushing, New York where he majored in accounting. Romano married Anna Scarpulla in 1987. The couple met while Romano worked at a bank. The couple has four children together, Alexandra, twins Matthew and Gregory, and Joseph Raymond. In 2001, Romano was listed on E!'s top twenty entertainers of the year. In 2004, he became the highest paid television actor in history as a result of his role on the CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond.
  • Acting Career

    Romano's early career included stand up comedy acts in outlets such as Comedy Central. Romano was originally cast to play the part of Joe on the American television sitcom NewsRadio but was fired and replaced by Joe Rogan. Shortly after, he starred in his own show titled Everybody Loves Raymond. In 2004, Romano was featured in a documentary called 95 Miles To Go. The film focused on the actors road-trip for a series of gigs across the South. In 2006, Romano starred in the comedy titled Grilled as a salesman trying to land a big sale.
