    Ray Price's first success was with his single "Release Me" in 1954. He went on to found the band Cherokee Cowboys in the early 1950s. Several ultimately successful musicians worked with him during that time, including Willie Nelson and Johnny Bush. In 1996, Price was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
