Life and Career
Ray Liotta was born in Newark, New Jersey and adopted at six months by Mary and Alfred Liotta.
His first big screen appearance came in Jonathan Demme's film Something Wild (1986), but he shot into stardom for his portrayal of Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese's critically acclaimed film, Goodfellas.
After the success of Goodfellas, Liotta did not appear in many films that fared well at the box office. However, he made a successful entry in the world of video game voice overs as the character of Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. He also won an Emmy Award for his guest appearance on ER in 2004.
His most recent films include Observe and Report and La linea (The Line). He has 6 films due out in 2010. Half are completed while the other half are in post production.
