Career
Rawson Marshall Thurber started his career writing commercials for Reebok. In 2004, he got his big break with the hit comedy film Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, starring Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn. The movie, which he wrote and directed, grossed over $25 million at the box office, and received generally favorable reviews from critics.In 2006, Thurber began work on The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, based on the 1988 novel by Michael Chabon. The film starred Jon Foster, Sienna Miller, and Peter Sarsgaard, and was selected to compete in the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.
He is slated to write and direct the Magnum P.I. film adaptation in 2009.
