Rashad Evans is a mixed martial arts fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is currently the UFC light heavyweight champion.
On December 28, 2008, Rashad Evans knocked out Forrest Griffin in the third round of their fight at UFC 92. The fight was called at 2:46 left in the third. Rashad Evans stated, "I knew I had him in trouble. He kept smiling, so I didn't know if he was hurt or not. They kept letting me hit him, so I was like, Alright." Evans was the winner of season two of The Ultimate Fighter, which first aired on August 22, 2005. By winning the Ultimate Fighter reality television competition, Evans earned his spot as a new fighter in the UFC.

Evans and his family live in Lansing, Michigan, however he travels frequently to Albuquerque, New Mexico for training and conditioning.
